Wellness Media - Delivering Spa Trends for Asia
Often times a magazine shapes the veneer to lasting consumer trends in the modern world. Enthusiasts indulge and get interested in the latest through what they read. Hence, this role is not to be taken lightly. With wellness as a theme in the modern everyday life, SpaAsia was birthed to be the responsible voice that reaches the thousands of spa-goers in Asia and holidaymakers from around the globe.

To date, this magazine has achieved what it has set out to do – to hit her first benchmark by being the first magazine of its kind in this part of the world. And it still has much to do as the industry that is seeing spectacular year-on-year growth. By filling our pages with delightful and informative pieces on the spa and wellness industry, we have seen an emerging interest not just from casual readers, but also from the industry’s professionals.

Having successfully hosted the Wellness Summit for two years running, Wellness Media, the parent publisher of SpaAsia is preparing for a third. It is through this annual gathering of leading professionals within the realm of the industry that Wellness Media hopes to propel new trends and thinking in the industry. While playing the role of initiator of new trends, Wellness Media is at the same time attempting to assume the role of being the voice that will persuade the industry to embrace the conscience of this frontier of Wellness. Wellness Media believes that the collective wisdom of ancient traditions can only be honoured if it is delivered to the consumers with its due measure of integrity.

Recognizing that the best in the industry should be applauded and encouraged, SpaAsia also leads with the first-ever Asia-Pacific Spa & Wellness Awards billed as the SpaAsia Crystal Awards. With a total revamp from 2006 onwards and covering a discerning 14 nomination categories, it will certainly be an authority on award-winning spas and wellness programmes. This goes a long distance towards promoting the most impressive destinations and spas in the Asia-Pacific region.

Also in the pipeline are: Healing Destinations, an exclusive guide to 40 of the finest destination spas in the Asia-Pacific region; SpaArabia, a luxury magazine that will treat readers to the healing wisdoms of the Middle East whilst honouring their amazing luxury spas and wellness brands; The Ultimate Spa Guide, an annual publication showcasing the top one hundred spas in the region – Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

To maintain our vanguard role within the spa and wellness industry, Wellness Media will continue to reach out to niches available in this vibrant sector. Through providing timely and focused information, we will certainly have a part to play in promoting and sustaining the growth of the spa and wellness movement. To this end, we remain as ever, one step ahead – at the cutting edge of the industry, moving to provide dedicated reads to all.
